The Art of Painting a Portrait from Your Photos

Would you like to have a realistic and true-to-life portrait on canvas of yourself, a relative, or a friend? All you need is a clear image of the person's face and to know the size of painting you would like.

Portraits of Baby and Child

A painting is a special souvenir that immortalizes the gaze and smile of a child. It is the perfect gift for parents or grandparents.

I reproduce the photo with bright and happy colors. Most important is to get the resemblance exactly right, especially the gaze of the child and his or her expression.

The advantages of painting are:

Group and Family Portrait

With a good quality photo, you can have a portrait painted of family or groups. A portrait of all the grandchildren together makes a great gift for grandparents, or give a commemorative photo as a gift to a group of friends.

Even if you don't have a single photo that features everyone you'd like to include in the painting, a group portrait can be made from several different photos.

You may also wish to add, remove, or change elements, such as the color of a dress, superfluous details, or a different background. Just let me know your preferences and I can customize the painting for you.

Have you ever imagined yourself with another identity? It is an intriguing possibility I like to explore through painting.

Even something as simple as a change of clothes can transport you to another era. I am often pleasantly surprised by the creativity of what people suggest.

How to order a portrait ?

• 1. Choose the subject: A portrait can be produced from a photo as long as the photo is sharp enough.

• 2. Check the pricing in the charts below. It depends on size and difficulty.

• 3. Get a quote. Send the photo you’d like to replicate using the email address below and I will respond with a price quote.

• 4. Make a deposit. Once you have received the quote and are ready to confirm your order, you’ll deposit 25% of the quoted amount on PayPal and I will begin to create your order.

• 5. Check the work and make changes. It will take five to six weeks to craft your painting. Near the end, I will send you a photo of the work. At this point, you can make any modifications for free.

• 6. Confirm the final version and pay the balance. Once payment is received, I will ship your order in a protected package.

• 7. Enjoy your painting!
